I got the chance to post some more pictures. Enjoy :)

Me at an amazing set of waterfalls south of my village

Another shot at the falls

A view of the falls through the brush.

I'm too dumb too know how to rotate this, but it's me in front of a really sweet baobob tree with a bunch of fruit.

Huskin some corn.

Still can't figure out the rotation, but thought this was too funny to leave out. Random lady hanging out at Fousseini's house wanting to dance and have me take a picture.

Lazy

Lazy

Here's a shot of my neighbor girls.

Hi Rob! Hope all is well. Your dog is soo cute and I am jealous! Do you think that you will be able to bring her home with you? I am heading off the the 6th annual Wildlife Society ice fishing tournament tomorrow and I was thinking of you. My partner in crime will not be here to celebrate with me this year so just know that I will be thinking of you! Miss you! Kelly

I just found your site recently and I'll be heading to Africa in July with the PC. Don't know where I'm going yet, but I can't wait to have stories and pictures like yours to share. Keep up the good work.

i'm posting this on a couple of mali pcv blogs, hoping i'll get lucky and get at least one reply!

hi there. sorry to be abusing your blog like this, but google is a wonderful thing. i just got back from peace corps mongolia and i'll be in mali this summer with a medical team, at the new women and children's hospital just outside of koutiala, sikasso. i'm itching to get my hands on some PC language materials (bambara? or do i really just need french?). for mongolia they sent out a cd with the basics before we got there, so i was hoping to find something similar. i'm also the designated cook, so any and all recipes/PC mali cookbooks/local cooking tips would be helpful. anyhow, if you're busy, please just pass this on. i'd be happy to send a care package to those who can help me out (precooked, preserved bacon, anyone?) also, if there are any pcvs posted nearby, i'd be happy to take requests from the states or bring small stuff that is too fragile for parents to ship (cameras and whatnot).
thanks!
